Best of Susi & Tadej, autumn picture edition

Tadej already wrote about his journey to me in his blog… and I will let pictures speak ;)

(they were made with Moni’s webcam, in our living room)

Well, you all know that I’ve got a fetish for black/white… ;)
And there was also Halloween around that time, so… :P

Juhej, Juhej! :D

Today is Sunday, the 28th of October, and I’m counting the days to this day, since I left Slovenia in August. Today Tadej will come to Austria, and I’ll see him again after over two months!! I’m really so happy about it, you can’t imagine it. (Tadej, I didn’t bake you a cake, because my Mama made one yesterday (because we had so much quark at home and we had to use it)- and you will get a piece of that one. I really like it, you will see, it tastes great ;), you can also try our cookies, you know, the christmas cookies, which we already bake at the end of October :P )
I’ll go to Linz personally with the car— I’m still a learner in driving, and so my dad has to sit next to me, when I drive. I will get Tadej from the train station and then he will drive us back… he doesn’t want that i drive when it is dark, and to be honest, i also don’t want it ;) (Next to that i will be quite confused… better not to risk an accident ;) ) I’m looking forward to our fantastic week :)
Now it’s 12:37 …………………………… oh, the time is passing soooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooooooowly….

The National day of Austria

OUR NATIONAL DAY

History
:
The first national day of Austria, was made on 12th of November 1919. It was the day, when the first Republic of Austria was called out.

During the one-party- dictatur and through the Nazi time, the national day was on 1st of May, the day of work, which was the ‘day of heroes’ during the second WW.

On May 15th, 1955, was the austrian state treaty signed, with what Austria got its neutrality. It was signed by the 4 Occupying Powers of our country (England (GB) , France, Soviet Union and USA). All of those countries had to sign it too, and additionally had to agree, that they want Austria to be free. For that they have to give documents. The last of those documents, was given on July 27th, 1955. They made another treaty, that all of the occupiers had to leave the country within 90 days. The last of those days was the 25th of October 1955.
So, the 26th of October was the first day, when Austria was completely free and neutral.
On this day, the National Council of Austria, decided for the “forever- longing neutrality”.
It holds till nowadays, and hopefully forever.

The day itself:
The politicans wanted, to celebrate the becoming free of Austria. The first time it was celebrated on 25th of October 1957, called “The day of the flag”, and it was only celebrated on schools, to remember the students, what happened in past, that they will never be able to forget, what their country was going through. The teachers had to care for an unforgetable day for their students, the school had to wear flags.

The day of the flag was moved one day behind, onto the 26th of October, because it was more important for the politicans to remember onto the ‘forever longing neutrality” than to remember onto the leaving of the pccupying powers.

In 1965 the national council was thinking on a “National day”- there were 4 dates for choosing:

  • 15th of May ===> Signing of the State treaty in 1955
  • 12th of November ===> Call out for the first Republic in 1919
  • 26th of October ===> Decidement for the “Forever- longing neutrality”
  • 27th of April ===> Proclaimation of incependence

Most of agreement got the 26th of October, and since 1967 it is officially celebrated in Austria.

Happy National Day, to all of the people living in my country, and all of the people in the world, doing and feeling as an austrian =)

Slovenian elections part III- OR: Beating the turkish goverment for a third time!!!

Voting sites closed yesterday at 19:00. 1.720.298 people had the right to vote, only 57,19% (983.835) of voters have voted (until 19:00).

Here are unofficial results:

Lojze Peterle 28,54 % (279.104)

Dr. Danilo Türk 24,52 % (239.815)

Mitja Gaspari 24,15 % (236.138)

Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti 19,28 % (188.512)

mag. Darko Krajnc 2,17 % (2,17 %)

Elena Pečarič 0,88 % (8.593)

Monika Piberl 0,47 % (4.590)

Unofficial data, gathered untill 17:00 on 22th of October 2007.

Source: DVK (22.10.2007)

First four candidates are very close, more than anybody was expecting before elections. First round is not finished yet, there are votes by post which still have to come and they cause come conflicts between political parties.

Lojze Peterle, although he is the first one, he is the biggest loser of first round. Researches of public opinion before elections were showing to him higher advantage in first round, nobody expected Türk to be so close to Peterle.

It was unknown who will be next to Peterle in second round, Gaspari or Türk. Türk was always better on all kind of polls, but difference was slight. Unofficial results show almost same as polls made before elections. Not difficult to notice that left wing in Slovenia is very strong at the moment.

Jelinčič is definitely the winner with 19%. On previous elections in 2002, Jelinčič got only 8,5%. This shows that National Party is gaining power, mostly among young segment of voters.

Krajnc, Pečarič and Piberl are far away from others. There are several reasons, as analytics have said.  Krajnc is seen as too young for a president, but his views are different from other candidates, well explained, and enough determined. For unsuccessful result of last two candidates  is maybe one reason - their gender, most likely Slovenia is not prepared for female president. I personally think that Pečarič is good enough for the president, despite her handicap status, because she fights for equal chances of all people. Maybe there will be female president in 2012, nobody can know. Other candidates expressed a wish that more women should enter political scene, I wish the same, it gets boring when just men govern and fresh, different ideas are always welcome.

Second round will be on 11th of November 2007. We will see. Presidential campaign is going to be more interesting and less spontaneous, both candidates qualified to second round agree.

My comments:
Sad, sad, very sad, only 13000 of intelligent people in your country… I guess most of the men forbid their women to go to the elections (would explain the %- sentence also :P )
Joking of course ;)
But I find it idiotic that not more people voted for them…
and I guessed it will be Peterle, I also think it will be him finally.

If you want to finish first, first you have to be finnish!!!

I waited for 5 years for this one day, and now this day, which came so surprisingly, and which i never could be sure of if it would ever come, tells us so many things.. it tells us,

  • that even the lowest possibility is still a possibility,
  • that it comes mostly different than you think,
  • that really everything can happen,
  • that you never should give up,
  • that you have to be strong on that moments, where you simply need to be
  • that you never can be sure when your wishes will come true
  • that if two quarrel, the third one is happy ;)
  • and that miracles really seem to exist.. ;)

My dear friends, i proudly present you, the this years formula 1 champion- if you’d have bet on him 12 hours ago, you were a rich (wo)man now..

Slovenian elections part II- OR: Beating the turkish goverment AGAIN

Many people want become president of Slovenia. People listed below are official candidates, we are going to vote for one of them on Sunday, 21st of October 2007. Next to official candidates, there were some people who wanted to candidate, but they didn’t get enough signatures of voters or support of any political party (Jože Andrejaš, Jožef Horvat, Marko Kožar, Pavel Premrl, Matej Sedmak - Peacehiker). Marjan Berančič and Artur Štern withdrew their candidatures (M. Berančič because there were some irregularities with his candidature and A. Štern used his candidature as material for a documentary movie). So, here are the candidates:

1.) Darko Krajnc

President of Stranka mladih Slovenije (SMS) (Youth Party of Slovenia). With 32 years is he quite young for a president. He was awarded a sociological degree, he has been working for Slovenian Student Organisation for several years.

He’s not married, he has no kids, but he has got a partner. His religion is roman-catholic, he says he doesn’t own any real estates or a lot of fortune.

Website: http://www.darkokrajnc.si/

2.) Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti

Jelinčič family was given aristocratic title in 18th century by Maria Theresia, empress or Austria (Plemeniti (pl.) is his aristocratic title). Born in Maribor, later his family moved to Ljubljana where he finished schools and became a pharmacist. In his life he has done many different things; he was a ballet dancer, he took active part in Slovenian war of independence and since formation of Slovenian parliament he is it’s member, he says works for Slovenian people. He owns huge collection of weapons, stamps and money.

President of Slovenska nacionalna stranka (SNS) (Slovenian National Party), he is the only one who candidates as member of the party (others candidate as candidates of voters). He is pretty in love with Slovenia, he loves his home country almost as much as his wife I guess. He says that it’s important for us to care about our own country’s problems than about problems of Sri Lanka or Brazil.

Webpage: http://zmago.sns.si/

3.) mag. Mitja Gaspari

Magister of economy. he served in National bank of Yugoslavia as vice president, later in independed Slovenia he was financial minister in government of dr. Janez Drnovšek. In year 2001 he became president of National bank of Slovenia, he has done a lot for Slovenia to adopt Euro as national currency. His presidential candidature is supported by Liberal democracy of Slovenia (Liberalna demokracija Slovenije) (LDS)
In publich he appears as very calm, cold, he doesn’t smile often.

Webpage: http://www.gaspari.si
4.) Dr. Danilo Türk

From 1992 to 2000 he was first ambassador of Slovenia for the UN, later he was Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs for the UN (2000-2005). He currently works as professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana.

He has many experiences in diplomacy. Before announcing candidature he wasn’t involved in Slovenian politics. Drives Mercedes C240, from year 2001.

Webpage: http://www.daniloturk.si

5.) Elena Pečarič

She is philosopher and cultural sociologist. In past she was envolved in forming handicap movement (YHD) and she is trying to change public opinion about handicap person. Since 2006 she works at Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana.

She is fluent in several foreign languages, including Italian, English, Serbian, Croatian and French. She would like to reach equal opportunies for all people.

Webpage: www.elena-priloznosti.com

6.) Monika PIberl

She comes from Maribor, she is founder and president of Glas žensk Slovenije (GŽS). In her career she was working in Maribor’s city coulcil until 2006 when her party didn’t get enough votes to enter council for another 4 years term.

Married, with two adult children and lives in wealthy family.

She works for better status of women in our society.

Webpage: http://www.monikapiberl.com/

7.) Lojze Peterle

He was leader of Christian Democratic Party of Slovenia from late 1980’s until it merged into other parties in 2000. When Yugoslavia was falling apart at the end of 80’s, he was among the people who lead Slovenia to independence. In year 1990, after democratic elections in SR Slovenia, he became prime minister in DEMOS (=Democratic Opposition of Slovenia) government. He server as prime minister until 1992 when new government was formed under Dr. Janez Drnovšek. In years 1993 and 1994 Peterle served as Slovenian foreign minister. Later, in 2000, he was foreign minister in Andrej Bajuk’s government again. In 2004 he was elected to European Parlament for the New Slovenia Christian People’s Party (Nova Slovenija) (NSi), member of European People’s Party (EPP). In 2006 he was elected as vice president of Europeans People’s Party for a three years term.

He speaks English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, and in addition, currently he studies Chinese Diplomat, politician, musician, bee-keeper, polyglot, pilot.

Webpage: http://www.peterle.si

Candidates who are doing well are Peterle, Türk and Gaspari. Jelinčič does quite good as well, other candidates are quite behind. Three most popular candidates have rich life experiences and a lot of knowledge. Peterle is supported by right political parties, although he collected signatures of 15.000 voters. Türk and Gaspari are supported by left parties. Jenličič has already tried to candidate, but never reached any success.

My favorite candidate is Gaspari, due to his experiences in economy and politics and because he knows a lot of different things, I find this important for a president with such role as in Slovenia.

Researches show that Peterle is going to be successor of dr. Janez Drnovšek.

To 1: wow, really quite young, I think I haven’t heard about a guy who wants to become president in such a young age… i doubt that a lot of people will vote for him.

To 2: Ballet? must be a really long time ago, it is impossible to see anything of this on him :P He maybe could give you some stamps, Tadej ;) — but i don’t like him, i don’t like his ugly smile, no matter what Maria Theresia thought about his family, I wouldn’t vote for this guy. He seems like someone who wants the best for himself, but selling it like he wants the best for the people.

To 3: He doesn’t look like a real president, also because he doesn’t smile so often, but when I think on the 2nd one I prefer him… although he wouldn’t be the best.

To 4: Türk? This is no slovenian surname. I bet he has any austrian ancestors :P Anyway, diplomatic experiences can be very useful if you want to become a president. Was it necessary to tell that with the car? :P

To 5: She seems very sympathic to me, it makes me angry, when i think that people might not take her serious for a candidate as president, because she is handicapped. and also a woman… maybe you can’t have a worse situation if you want to become a president… sometimes i really hate this world, when i think too long about it

To 6: I fear that many people just see in her case, that she comes from a wealthy family, and that she also just wants her own stuff for her. Maybe some men also think, she should go back to her home and cook. She fights for a better status of women, what means that already 50% of votes are away for her. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

To 7: When I read anything about slovenian elections in our newspapers, there is usually Peterle mentioned, or even an interview with him. So i just guess that it will become him.

____

It is really so typical, that you didn’t a closer mention to the women, in the last paragraph, Tadej, although if they are maybe not such good candidates for you, they would have deserved it ;)

Slovenian elections part I- OR: Beating the turkish goverment

“”Next Sunday, on 21th of October 2007, we are going to have presidential elections. Third presidential elections in sovereign Slovenia. Here is part of the Slovenian constitution which regulates the powers of the president of Slovenia:

Article 107 (Powers of the President of the Republic)(1) The President of the Republic:

– calls elections to the National Assembly;

– promulgates laws;

– appoints state officials where provided by law;

– appoints and recalls ambassadors and envoys of the Republic, and accepts the letters of credence of foreign diplomatic representatives;

– issues instruments of ratification;

– decides on the granting of clemency;

– confers decorations and honorary titles;

– performs other duties determined by this Constitution.

(2) Where required by the National Assembly the President of the Republic must express his opinion on an individual issue.

Slovenian constitution, ICL (16.10.2007)

In compare with some other countries, president of the Republic of Slovenia does not have so many powers, his role is mostly representative.

Although official campain started on 20th of August 2007, first candidature announcements were made already half a year before (by Lojze Peterle, member of European Parliament and Zmago Jelinčič, member of Slovenian parliament and president of SNS). All together, fourteen people have announced to run a campaign for the president of the republic. Two candidates withdrew their candidature, five people didn’t manage to get enough signature of voters and finally, seven people were confirmed by the authorities as official candidates. Tomorrow I’m going to describe them all, with their advantages and disadvantages.

(This post is a description of Slovenian presidential elections and not propaganda for any of the candidates.)”"

I think it is important that irem can read this ONLINE (there’s always a way how to beat censorship :P )… I’m a real enimy of censorship, and no matter what it is about, you should be able to read it… I hope it can help you somehow, it’s some kind of little rebellion against the goverments… ;) [and unfortunately a proof that Tadej is not working for the CIA... :P] If my goverment would do this, I definitely would move… or do anything with the president. I didn’t know that Türkiye still was so religious, I think Atatürk made it really good with dividing church and state- I really hope they are not making steps back… btw, what do you actually think about Mr. Gül, irem? ;) I wanted to ask you that for a long time. ;)

PS: hopefully my blog won’t be a suspecting part of the internet for your goverment soon … :P

Dublin (Baile Àtha Cliath)

The Irish flag

(self shot pic ;) )

Hello my dear blog readers- as you all know, I had been to Dublin some time ago, with my classmates (or at least some of them) and some people from our neighbour class.

Dublin was simply fantastic- I can tell you, I really liked it. This family I stayed with had three little boys, and they were just sweet, and so wonderful :D They had also so nice names. The first was Shane Paul, he was 7 years old, and quite- hm, wilde :P You know how boys in that age are, he just has got so much energy and he jumpee and ran around whole day long. His younger brother was Jordan Dennis, and he was 5. When I saw him for the first time he wore a ManU shirt of Cristiano Ronaldo, and I already loved this little boy :D I guess you can imagine why ;) Really, he was so sweet with this shirt. We found out that we both like ManU, and he was the only Cristiano Ronaldo fan in this house (the others prefered Wayne Rooney, what i will never understand. Jordan and Denis even argued who is the better player— for me this is no question) ). And then there was also the youngest boy- Jake James. He was one year and 8 months old and probalby one of the sweetest little boys I’ve ever seen. He couldn’t talk so much yet, but we still could talk with him and he understood so much but talked so less… I’ll add a picture of the family also, because they were really so nice. My host mum was called Joanne, and my host dad Dennis. They were really funny and I liked them a lot. They were always friendly. The only thing I missed a lot in Austria, was the food. That wasn’t really fantastic in Ireland, but actually we knew this before, because the english food is also not really that, what I’d prefer. But in that case we are really too lucky in Austria… there are not many countries who have a better food than us. I think that at least ;)

1st day (Saturday, 22nd of October 2007): Leaving our school in Ried (Austria) 5:45 a.m. (yes, in the morning! :P) and starting a 2,5 hours journey to München Airpoirt (Germany). Our flight went away at 11:20, we arrived in Dublin about 2 hours later. Then visiting Malahide castle. A very nice place, and we were so tired, that we just looked at the castle from outside, and went straight to the next place in grass for taking a rest. It was like english lawn, you know, like they would have cut it with scissiors! But it was allowed to be on there anyway– and the sun was fantastic :) Then we went to the beach. We were in such a suburb of Dublin, and the houses were quite nice- they remembered me a lot on such american houses. We visited a harbour, called Howth, and it was probably one of the most beautiful things i’ve seen there. It was a really nice habour, with many sailing boats. I would have liked to draw this, but I was too lazy to take out my photo camera to make a picture of it, to draw it at home… well, it would have been probably also too many sailing boats :P — Then, at 18:00 we all went to the meeting point, it was a school, but not the school where we stayed whole week long later then, for lessons. There our host mothers welcomed us, and took us to the houses, where we would stay for whole the week long.

2nd day (Sunday, 23rd of September 2007): Whole day trip to Glendaloch and Wicklow. At before noon we went to Glendaloch, what was an ex- monastry. Unfortunately it was closed about 400 years ago (at the time from Henry VIII, you know, the guy with the many women… (6 I think), and so there were just the ruins left.) It was generally quite nice, we first watched a movie what was about monastries in general, also about christianity and how it came to Ireland. then we went on to watch the ruins and the cemetry. It was quite nice. There was also a big tower. it was quite funny, because this tower had its lowest door in the hight of 3 metres, and it was no possibility to come up to there. Our guide explained us, that the monks once had a wooden stair up to it, but with time it just was destroyed. Then we also went to the lake, what was about 20 minutes away from the monastry. (like you know of Loch Ness, the Loch in Glendaloch means lake). There we also ‘enjoyed’ our lunch pack (a lashy sandwich, crisps, extremply sweet juice).

In the afternoon we went to Wicklow (and Powerscourt gardens). What was really nice. Those gardens are full of wonderful flowers. I especially liked the roses, which still smelled so wonderful like in early summer. In the middle of the whole area was a big fontaine. the lake water already didn’t look so nice anymore, but the garden itself was simply nice. I bought also my first couple of postcards there in a shop (40cents- not so expensive, most of the postcards in Ireland cost that amount of money), unfortunately they didn’t have stamps in this shop, so i couldn’t send them already, but I took them to my host- home and wrote them to my family and to my ducks.

3rd day (Monday, 24th of September 2007) On Monday morning we had our first lessons in school. Our english teacher in Ireland was called Patricia, and I really liked her, because she was talking with us really interesting things, she told us about the irish systems, where it is best to go shopping, when it is the best time to go shopping, and so on.The lessons with her were really interesting. For example at the first day, she told us to go in a group of three and to think about our favourite movie. Anna, Johanna and I went obviously into one group, but have you any idea how hard it was for us to find ANY movie which we saw all three and which we found a bit good? Finally we decided for Pretty Woman. It’s not really my favourite, but they saw so many different movies than me… I’d have prefered Ocean’s 11, but there were some difficulties about the quality of the movie, and the biggest deal was simply Pretty Woman… In the afternoon we watched the Trinity Collgege then, where we also saw the book of Kells (more for that you can read a bit more down.) We also got a city travel, what was really nice, because we could see so many nice places. I made this picture on the left, down from the main bridge- it is really nice to see this place, it was an amazing view.

4th day (Tuesday, 25th of September 2007) The plan was like this: At before noon we would watch an irish kindergarten, and at the afternoon a prison and a museum. But when we arrived at the kindergarten, I was not sure if we were not at the prison already. It really looked like that :P The kindergarten teachers were really nice, they just had no other possibilities to be in that tight, cold house. In the afternoon we went to the prison then- and this damn bus driver tricked us!! We paid 1,40 € for driving to this prison with the public bus, but then we found out, that under 18 you pay just 70 cents! This idiot. Then we wanted to have tickets for our return, but he didn’t give them to us :( He was acting like stupid. and then we already had to go out of the bus, because otherwise we would have missed our station. Really, irish people are nice, but i still could kill this bus driver.

When we were in the prison then, we had to do like we wouldn’t know each other. First we splitted our group, and the first one went to the museum of modern art, while we went into the prison. There they give only torus for groups, who booked this already months ago, and obviously we didn’t. But single persons could come also without booking it. So we did like we don’t know each other. Obviously they checked it, that it couldn’t be random, that suddenly 15 girls around 18 years run this prison… but we said we don’t know each other, i did like i would speak finnish, and my friend Chrissy did like she were german :P so we all came in ;)

The museum was quite interesting, also if we were deadly tired.. but we made fun with ‘interpreting’ what we see on the paintings.. sometimes our interpretations were more weird than those of the artists…

In the evening we were watching “Run, fat boy, run”. A very funny movie, but simple comedian, nothing really worth to see it a second time.. but partly it had quite funny scenes inside ;)

5th day (Wednesday, 26th of September 2007) On this day I was really ill- actually I was it whole night before. Irish food is simply too fatty. My stomach simply collapsed and I had to vomit whole night long :( In the morning I thought, that I maybe could go to school anyway, but it was quite an illusion, because when i stood up i almost fainted back into the bed again. So, no thought on school anymore. For that my friends could go and I stayed whole day long in bed ;) My host mum was really nice and she cared very well about me- and suddenly, the doorbell rang and my teachers stood in front of the door :-| I told them, that they don’t need to worry and just prayed that they will go away soon again… but nice that they thought on me ;)

My friends told me afterwards, that it was the most boring day of all, and so I didn’t miss anything ;)

6th day (Thursday, 27th of September 2007) This was already at the 6th day! The time passed really amazingly fast. On this day we went first to school again, and talked with Patricia- it was nice, it were not real lessons, but finding out more about the culture and Ireland itself. In the afternoon, we had a free day for shopping. But I didn’t feel really good there in the city, every smell made me feeling sick. So I just went to the post office and bought soem stamps for Tadej and at an irish gift shop called ‘Carrols’, to buy also some presents for my family.

In the evening then, we had our irish night, what meant, that we were learning an irish dance. It was quite a nice one, Patricia and her daughter Kira were teaching it to us :D

We watched many nice things, I liked the old town of the city and also Temple Bar, what is something like the in-scene of Dublin. I wanted to stay there a bit longer, and to watch some shops and so on (some seemed really interesting), but unfortunately I didn’t see a lot of it. And there is also this Trinity College (what is actually an university), which has got a book, what is 1200 years old. That’s amazing, we could see it, and I simply can’t imagine how they could make such books a long time ago. I mean, over a millenium, and than such fantastic. And the colors are still so good. It is obviously written in latin. I wanted to try to read something out of it, but it was only possible to see a picture and some drawings. Pity, I’d have prefered to see the font (but you could see this in the museum what was built around the book. And i could see a library which had got over 200.000 books. And they were partly really old books. Obviouslly it was not allowed for people like me to borrow such a book. If you wanted to read one, you had to say it before and to say for what you need it, and then you could come when they give you a date and you can research things for a definite time and then you have to go again. Unfortunately it was forbidden to make pictures in this library, really, it was so impressive. I guess the room was about 15 metres high. The library itself had two floors, but when you stood in the first floor you could look to the second. I just looked into google and found a picture- But really, when I went inside this, I got the feeling that I’d like to be there and to watch those books on my own, although they were written mostly in latin, and I don’t understand much of this language, but there were also some things written in english. And this library gave me a strange calm feeling, I felt also a bit like in Harry Potter when I was inside there (don’t ask me why, it was just such a feeling). But just looking at the picture :) And you can see here also a selfmade picture of Dublin Tower, a very impressive monument in the middle of Dublin. Something quite new and interesting. Dubliners say, they are not sure if they like it or not, they first have to get used to it. Honestly, I also don’t know what I shall think about it, but it is a perfect meeting point, because it is quite high and you can see itfrom many places in Dublin (what means Baile Atha Clíath (= Place on Ford on the Phragmite Hurdle) in gaelic, btw… it is quite interesting, because every road sign is in two languages there- gaelic and english.) I just wanted to say, that most of the pictures here are made by myself- except the one of the trinity college library and the book of Kells (making pictures was forbidden at those places) Malahide Castle and Howth harbour- I have other pictures of that, but they are not here now, and they are also not as good as those.

Unfortunately I became ill on Tuesday evening. That was not good, I had to vomit all night till Wednesday :( It was awful. Fortunately my friends told me that Wednesday was quite a boring day and that I didn’t miss anything really, and on Thursday I fortunately could alread walk with them again. That was quite good. But I was also quite happy when I came home on Friday late in the evening (at about 11:00 p.m.) again. It is not funny to be abroad and ill at the same time. But although that, I wouldn’t want to miss that time. At the last night, we also leanrt an irish dance, with our irish english teacher (we had to go to school there 3 days long, it was mostly quite funny) and she told us how good we were, because we learnt it within 1,5 hours :D

All in All i can say, Dubin was really nice, and for sure always worth a visit… just take care for that you will take some food with you… :P

Lonely days…

“…A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they’ve got planes and trains and cars
I’d walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
And we’ll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Oh, I can promise you
That by the time that we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you’re to blame
…”
